Jiu-Jitsu didn’t just change my life—it gave me one worth living. As a younger man, I was lost, making choices that led me down a destructive path. Then, I found Jiu-Jitsu. What started as a physical practice became something much greater—a way to rebuild myself from the inside out.
Through discipline, struggle, and the people who guided me, I transformed. That transformation is what fuels my passion for martial arts and my commitment to helping others find their own path through it.
At Coalition Combat Sports, I have the privilege of leading a growing community of individuals dedicated to self-improvement. Years of training and competition have shaped my approach to modern submission grappling, and my classes focus on practical, evolving training methods. My goal is to ensure that everyone who steps onto our mats receives thoughtful guidance that meets them where they are.
Beyond Jiu-Jitsu, my education and experiences have shaped the way I understand movement, health, and the connections we build through training. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share that knowledge with others, including my students at Mary Baldwin University, where I help introduce martial arts to those taking their first steps on this journey.
I know firsthand how intimidating it can be to step into a gym, especially for those who feel lost or uncertain. That’s why I take pride in welcoming new students, offering introductory lessons through one-on-one training to help them start their journey with confidence.
Coalition Combat Sports is more than a gym—it’s a place where people come together to grow, to challenge themselves, and to build something greater than just skill on the mats. I am deeply grateful for the mentors, training partners, and students who have shaped my path. My hope is to continue paying that forward—helping others find strength, purpose, and community, just as I did.
