Scott Canterbury embarked on his martial arts journey in 2004, under the guidance of Dr. Ian Marshall, focusing on Kickboxing and Inter Range Combatives. In 2006, he delved into the Army's Modern Army Combatives Program, further expanding his skill set.
In 2009, Scott decided to put his acquired skills to the test, competing in several MMA events. His dedication and training paid off as he rose to become the #4 ranked Light Heavyweight fighter in the Global Combat Alliance.
Scott's commitment to martial arts and combatives education led him to complete all four levels of Combatives certification courses. He retired from the Army in 2016 as a Level IV Certified Tactical Combatives Instructor.
Scott is a member of several prestigious associations, including the American Independent Karate/Kickboxing Instructors Association. He holds the title of a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Fears Combatives and is a Certified Military Combatives Instructor under the Military Combatives Association.
